How do know that the accelerator is running. I used a registry cleaner and found a bad link to the accelerator, but did not remove it. The people who put my pc together made my externall western digital hdd my primary master!, therefore I cannot seem to figure to use a slave since that master has 80 pins and the cd-rom, dvd has 40 pins. that intel accelerator seems to think my hdd has 149g but I know it has 127g. If I could I would just run a cable like a firewire from the hdd to the cd-rw that is disconnected excepr for power. Unless there is a 80 to 40 pin cable maybe the internal hdd "external" will accept a slave. now it won’t it gives me a disk error and will not boot up with the cd-rw. Maybe the cd-rw has on the back a place for a usb or firewire or some other thing that I can connect besides the 40 pin ribbon. Maybe the cd-rom-dvd master secondary slave combo will accept another slave like a cd-rw. I do not know how to undo what these guys have done. Any ideas on the accel. job

Move the little white connecter in in pin section beside the ribbon connector and set it to slave or the next one that allows the computer to select the master and do it on all drives and then, I am presumming you multiboot from several drives, after startup go into system information and it should tell you or go into devices and click sys. prop.’s and status and it will show you.

Does anyone know if there is an office supply store near the concord or christiana mall? I am going clothes shopping today with dad, and i need to pick up some sticker paper to make stickers. See, I am running for student counsel, and want to make stickers for my voters to wear. If, they dont have sticker paper, does anyone know anything else i could use, like a pin, or ribbon, ect.?

There is an Office Depot in the vicinity.

The middle connector (40 PIN IDE type) that connects to the Slave Hard Drive has a bar over the top of it which closes over the flat ribbon and keeps the pins in place. I have a Flat Ribbon connector whose slave connector can’t be hooked up keeping the number 1 Pin (closest to the red line). The female connector would have to be "flipped" 180 degrees to the other surface of the tape so that it can be pushed into the prongs of the drive. Are these connectors designed to opened and reconnected or can that only happen at the factory?

no. it sound to me like you may need to have these devices on separate IDE cables. also the connectors that you are calling slave are not what you think they as it doesn’t matter which connector is connected to which device unless you have the jumper on the drive set to cable select. i would flip one of the drives if it is a hard drive so that the connectors would fit the same way on each device.

I don’t have Breast Cancer but I just bought a Breast Cancer Awareness Ribbon pin that has the pink ribbon and the word "Hope" on it. I keep it on my purse, and for some odd reason, it keeps falling off. Is this some kind of sign?

Hey I know this scared the heck out of you and I can sympathize with you because my sister died of breast cancer. You can either get all weirded out by this or you can be proactive which is monthly self exams, knowing your family history, yearly mammogram, talking with the doctor about your history and health risks including a yearly physical. This along with a good diet, plenty or exercise is all one can really do.

The clasp is likely defective so you can just tuck it into your purse, make a necklace of it or buy a new one. In the end call up some friends you haven’t seen in forever, have some fun and live a little
