When the American flag is hung or displayed upside down it is a sign of distress. Some Americans are saying that they will wear their American flag pins upside as a form of protest if Obama gets elected. Here are the rules as they apply to displaying the American flag (note: none of them involve stomping on the American flag as Bill Ayers did.)

I get the feeling Obama supporters will do the same if McCain wins. I know this because I saw many of the same liberal scumbags disrespecting the flag by hanging up upside down to protest the Iraq war back when I was in college.
The upside down flag is only supposed to be used when in situations of mortal peril, not for some silly protest, even if it is against someone like Obama.

I wonder if the same people who were critical of Obama during the DNC convention, who accused him or printing up ID badges with the flag upside down, will do as you describe. When will they understand that what they are contemplating undermines this country in the same way they have accused the left of undermining the country for 8 years? If Obama wins his opponents need to get over it by January 20th. They need to judge him on his actions and policies, rather than what they imagine his actions and policies will be.
