What is that pin that Sarah Palin wears on her lapel?

It certainly isn’t a flag pin – though she did wear one last night, but I have also seen her wearing a white rectangular lapel pin. What is it and what is the significance behind it?

It was a large golden dollar sign next to a gaudy, bejeweled flag. Or do you mean her silver Star Trek rank pin?

It stands for her being a mother with a child fighting the war.

It was a flag pin but it was really tricked out. I don’t know if it was gems or not but I think she was overcompensating for McCain not wearing a pin last week.
