If you wear a lapel pin are you more patriotic than those who don’t?

Maybe you are more patriotic than those who physically help veterans? Or who vote in favor of veteran spending.

Who is more patriotic?: Someone who crosses their heart for the National Anthem or someone who does not cross their heart for the National Anthem.

I usually wear an American flag cape wherever I go just to be on the safe side. Politicians seem a little unpatriotic to me for not doing likewise.

You mean the pins that are made in CHINA? A lapel pin does not make a person patriotic. Actions speak louder than words (or lapel pins).

Lapel pins are just another piece of metal which are more likely made in China and which does not measures any ones patriotism.

I’m not wearing a lapel pin. So the minute I forget it someone can say I’m anti American. ?I carry America in my heart that way if I forget my pin, I’ll still know where my heart is. A pin can be taken off. Am I unpatriotic for taking it off?

While I do consider this issue somewhat absurd, I have to play the devil’s advocate. If a person is running for the highest office of his or her country – and everyone running against you was wearing the flag of that country on their lapels – common sense would tell that person to put a flag pin on his or her lapel. Not doing so – even after he or she has been criticized – would only leave that candidate open to attacks from the public, and possibly a television network and several 24-hour news networks to boot. It would be a sign of poor judgment.

Yes, those silly things are made in other countries. No, I don’t personally care who wears what where. But there you have it.

    Huh?

Bush wears one everyday, yet 4000+ Americans have died in a war that he concocted.

A pin doesn’t make you patriotic.

Usually when I see someone wearing a symbol of the flag or flying a flag, I assume they are self-righteous and think they are patriotic, without having a clue what the principles are that this country was founded on. Lapel pins are jewelry-don’t see what jewelry has to do with patriotism. Just another straw man argument, another useless "issue" that has nothing to do with a politician’s plans or ideas, to keep a shallow public entertained.

Are you less patriotic when you make the conscious effort NOT to wear the pin… ??
