will the airlines make me take the decorative pins off my bags?

i have pins representing different places i have been on the backpack (such as the flag pin shown in the link below) that i am planning on bringing as my carry-on on my trip over seas this week, will the airlines make me remove them?

no i dont think they will make you remove them.

    To make sure and for convenience purposes just remove them in the meantime and put in your check in bag. Airports is a pretty crazy place and too much security scanners, if I were you I’ll just save myself the energy of thinking and worrying and just keep them during your travel.

    Why risk if you can save yourself the energy?
