is it okay to wear a bow tie with a pin striped polo?

my bow tie is color biege and i have a dark colored long sleeved pin striped polo. is it ok to wear a bow tie like that to a pin striped polo? the occasion is my prom

i was just about to write how its never ok to wear a bow tie . .. but then i realized the person above got to saying it before me. haha.
well yeah, bow ties is a no no. Try a regular tie, and not beige. make it match something else in your outfit such as the shoes.
& if this is a high school graduation, dont wear that striped polo, wear a nice solid color suit.
if its middle school then yeah wear the polo.

    only certain guys can pull off bow ties. like celebrities. but that’s it. so no.

    It depends on whether or not you are a slave to fashion. Are you wanting a style thats all your own and dont want to look like everyone else? Then absolutely, go with the bow tie. If you’re worried about the reaction of your classmates, then go with something much more conservative, i.e. a regular black tuxedo.
