The Disney Store in Downtown Disney and underneath the big blue hat in MGM Studios have the most buy the cheapest ones then just trade them with the cast members!

In Downtown disney there is a trading pins shop. Outside are traders who will trade pins with you. I did this when i was there in November. They dont charge you but get you to buy them a pin they want for their collection as they are collectors. Wow their collections are fantastic.

Also while i was there went to the local disney store which was of international drive and there they where selling a lovely tin with pins in for only $25 about £14 inside where old obsolite pins that they wanted to get rid of. You could not see what you was buying so bit of a lucky dip lol. I took all the doubles into the park and changed them with the disney cast members. The pins worked out about 60p each so a real bargain and definately the best that i have found.

Unfortunately due to weigh i could only get a few so hope there willl be some left when i go back in june Made me want to collect more. So came home and looked on ebay and found loads of different pins. But they seemed quite expensive.

If she wants cheap ones for the kids to trade away, go to ebay.com and search for ‘Disney Pins lots’. For traders, you want to spend under $3 a pin. Make sure they are official Disney pins, otherwise you cannot trade them. Check all sellers’ feedback.

If she is after specific pins, expect to pay more. You will not find a pin on Disney property cheap – least expensive pins are $6.95 except at Downtown Disney – they have a ‘game’ in the Pin Station you can play. It costs $5 and you are guaranteed a pin. Disney Shops do not normally carry Disney pins – they are owned by another company and only carry special pins once or twice a year usually.

Your best bet would be to find lots of traders for $1-$3 a pin, and buy lanyards when you get to Disney so the kids can wear their pins. Then they can trade with any Cast Member (CMs with green lanyards trade only with kids, blue lanyards trade with anyone) but other guests may not want to trade with them unless they have a sought after pin. If you buy a lot on eBay, chances are slim you’ll get a pin anyone else wants.

The people who ‘trade’ pins at Downtown Disney are not going to trade for just any pin. Those are serious pin collectors who will seriously negotiate the trading of any pin. I have had to buy a $25 pin to be able to trade for two pins I had been searching for. Do not expect any of these traders to trade for pins you got out of an eBay lot, but they sure are fun to look at.

Ebay...I bought most of them for my daughter there. Some people sell big lots of them. I think she has 3 lanyards now with like 90 pins.

buy them on ebay real cheep ones that she can then trade with the castmembers i am doing the same thing they are on ebay for like 3.00 a pin

I see you are in Orlando, but if you can get on to e-bay England, you will find dozens of Disney pins under Disney Collectables. Was looking at them a couple of nights ago. If you contact the seller they will send to you in the US I'm sure.

Look on ebay for people selling several pins in one lot, ideally about $2 per pin for traders is about as cheap as it gets...

if she ever did find and micky mouse ones, i doubt she would trade them when she see’s how much they cost!

you will do better looking on the american ebay, end it with .com (but befor you bid you should ask if they will post to you)

also you may find them in collectors shops, second hand shops or markets/carboot sales.

they will be very difficult to find since collectors want them so bad!

the best thing to do, is as soon as they get there go to downtown Disney, there are absolutely hundreds in the shops and there is a specialist pin station. the cheapest thing to do is to buy a pack of pins, which generally work out cheaper and then trade them for pins you want that you can not buy in a pack, however this is a very expensive hobby, it is rare to find a pin for less that 5 dollars. if you have a good pin you might be able to trade for 2 etc and you can trade any pin with another one from any member of staff
